The amazing thing is that he seems a much better player in the Premier League than the Championship.
I always got the impression that the was trying just a bit too hard and needed to calm down a bit. And it looks like the club have worked on this aspect of his game so that he no longer has a tendency to give away possession. |  | | |

It's the classic thing of players having more time to play in the PL. For a player like Taylor it makes sense that he suits this level better compared to the frenetic championship.
Not to take anything away from him. He's looked good every time I've seen him. People love Cajuste and he would probably be most people's choice to play alongside Morsy at the moment (I think I've missed his best work as it seems to largely have come away from home), but Taylor is a very strong contender. It was so refreshing to see him start against Bournemouth - he can't have had much more than a handful of starts at PR over his time with us. |  |

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here .he's a decent player but not consistent enough. Yes he has a knack of popping up in places to score good goals. But if that ball had floated in to a different area ..we wouldn't have given taylor only a mention here or there. Let's not fool ourselves..we need 3 to 4 players,in of good quality,to stay in the race . | | | |

I admit it makes for good narrative though. Make up a story, say loads of people agree with it, then come on here and say, "look, all you people, you were wrong!"

There was lots of discussion whether he could make the step up. I don't recall anyone saying he definitely wasn't good enough, hence me not saying that ya big wally x | |

Must admit I wasn't sure, hadn't seen enough of him really. He definitely improved over the course of last season though.
Hirst was/is one I always thought could be decent for us in the Prem. Also Burns, though he's had a slightly rocky start imo but looks to be finding his feet. | |
