Time for pragmatism at Portman Road 17:12 - Dec 21 with 805 viewsportmanking

As laudable as it is to take an attacking approach at home, if we're serious about staying up it's time for a more pragmatic system IMO.

PL coaches are finding holes in our midfield and backline all too easily. The system at Spurs should've been our blueprint home and away.

10000% agree.

Many say we've done it since.. we haven't. That spurs game was so specific it worked so well.

5-4-1 is the easier switch really, we are going to need to consider that for Arsenal and Chelsea surely?

Tend to agree.

Today and Man Utd home we conceded with the same ball over the top
down our left.

Well yeah, 5-4-1 when defending and 3-4-2-1 when attacking. Heaps more protection in the right areas.
