It was a slightly worrying morning in our household waking up to this news. My missus's brother moved out to LA a week ago. She managed to hear from him, though, and thankfully, he is on the other side of LA, so he is not affected.
My thoughts go out to those who are affected. It looks absolutely terrible! Many families will have lost everything. |  | | |

I believe they're struggling due to the high winds, there's just no way they can contain it until the winds die down. I don't think they really have any choice but to let it run wild at the moment. I expect they are using defensive procedures against the fire currently, rather than actually trying to put it out. | | | |
