Something seriously wrong at the FA when Budgie Sainz gets 6 game ban and £12k fine for spitting at Mepham but Cunha gets a 3 match ban and £120k fine (2 weeks wages) for assaulting one of our security team, reduced to 2 games and £80k because he offered to buy him a pair of glasses.

The FA are surely in danger of setting a precedent for reducing a charge because he 'apologised'

He gave a misleading account of the incident also but they have just let that fly

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Then Sainz should learn from Cunha and offer to buy the other player a box of Kleenex and his punishment will be halved.

100% agree. How long did it take to teach a verdict on Sainz?

I’d rather have my glasses pulled off and a slap than being spat in the face, lowest of the low
Spitting at someone.. still Amazes me how Jamie carrager is still on tv after what he did .

Six matches is the standard suspension for spitting offences. Although 3 matches is standard for violent conduct which is what Cunha should have got (at the least).

The softening of the ban was compounded by one of those game being an FA Cup game

Wolves appealed the shortening further too and it was rejected, the absolute temerity of it

I really think that Cunha should have got 3 games rather than 2. Asking for more than that is total wishful thinking.

I shed no tears for someone who spits and gets a 6 game ban.

Can we please move on from this?

I would say that spitting is a far more serious offence. Our security guy wasn't physically assaulted other than having his glasses removed. Cunha should have still got longer, but I still say spitting is the filthier of the crimes.

Did you not see the bit when he was elbowed in the back of the head by Cunha?!?!

Spitting at someone is worse than being elbowed in the head?!? Wow. I firmly disagree with that.
