Alternative 5 things today 19:22 - Jan 12 with 2326 views | jasondozzell | 1. It's funny how often the League One players still stand out over the others. Some good performances but Mass, Burgess, Wes and Woolfie caught the eye. Particularly Mass. He was the final piece in that League One promotion puzzle when he finally got into the side. 2. Slightly worried that Woolfy was captain just in case it was one of Kmac's classy gestures ahead of him being off. Big Cam has captained before in these types of games. Hopefully I'm overthinking it! 3. The standards in the group are so high. At 3-0 up, Woolfy and Burgess had a long conversation about movement of gas front line. KM has turned them all into scholars of the game. There will be a fair few managers. 4. 23 months ago, we drew 0-0 against BR and the Morsy spat happened. Still unbelievable we had so called 'fans' like that and a sizeable minority questioning KM. Now our second string side barely had to break sweat against them to win comfortably. 5. Harry Clarke's last first pump for a while? Good luck to him, he'll tear up the champ imo!
Alternative 5 things today on 21:52 - Jan 12 with 1687 views | FrimleyBlue | I don't think they stood out personally. J clarke. Phillips. Townsend and godfrey did for me. Burns had his most attacking game of the season against league 1 opposition but he looked fast again and got past their fullback which he's not been able to do all season so that did stand out I agree on that Mass was Mass. And solid. But when you watch cajuste he's a fair way away from reg prem football imo. But overall it was all a positive day. What I did like was how we made that game look like a prem team v a lower league team where had we wanted to, we could have upped the gears.

Alternative 5 things today on 21:55 - Jan 12 with 1678 views | BlueStreak | Point 4. Town were going through an awful period and we were lucky to scrape a point away at BR. I think everyone looked at themselves after that game and it started the ridiculous run. Not sure you can say ‘so called fans’ when it was a Wednesday night in Bristol watching us in league one.

The guy in the crowd was making 'money' gestures to Morsy, i.e. he was just picking up his wage and putting no effort in. There's an interview where Morsy speaks about it somewhere. Of all the players to accuse of that. Not supporters in my opinion. The ridiculous run was obviously ridiculous but even if it had been play offs, it was clear that KM was building a great side and that his coaching was improving the club for the long term too. There were people saying he should go!

Yeah fair points. Cajuste is athletically and technically a better player of course, but for Mass not to have played and to come in and have the rhythm and the patterns immediately is pretty impressive. I thought Burgess and Woolfy both looked so polished. Agree about the gears point. Very professional.

After the final whistle that game our form had been P8 W1 D6 L1 And we were miles behind Sheff Wed without looking like any chance of us catching them. The fans (who has still been very supportive) were cheesed off at the thought of another year in that Division, and rightly so. Like you say it fell into place lightly but as someone who was there that night, there was nothing positive to take from that game or the previous 7/8 weeks.

It was hugely frustrating and I still think the interview with KM after the Lincoln draw away is the only time I've seen him totally down in his time here. But the context was we'd had an horrific run of injuries and were doing well to hang in there with Humphreys having to play as starting CM ahead of his time really though he did a great job. No surprise that when Massimo started after that Rovers game we got into a rhythm. The Morsy incident that night was the latest in a load of people chucking their toys out of the pram. I remember after the Cambridge away game walking out and hearing someone say 'Morsy's finished as far as I'm concerned, I'm done with him'. Wes copped a load of abuse too when he came over. We'd seen enough of KM's football to know better.
Alternative 5 things today on 22:46 - Jan 12 with 1169 views | PioneerBlue | 1. Never needed to get out of second gear 2. Nice that ‘other’ players chipped in with goals 3. Surprised by the minutes that Mass and Townsend managed to complete 4. AAH didn’t really play that poorly but he’s very far from shooter sharpness and PL level 5. Phillips Townsend Godfrey Mass Taylor in different role stood out the most from the starter group

Good points all. Agree re AAH. Actually did pretty well and created some chances. Inevitable that people would use the penalty for cheap jibes. He needs confidence and regular minutes but have appreciated his commitment and hard work this season.
