If people think this is bad 17:54 - Feb 1 with 2233 views | jasondozzell | Then they clearly didn't sit through 2009 - 2021. Get a grip! We're probably on par if not ahead considering the context of back to back promotions into the toughest league in the world. McKenna and the squad need and deserve support. They've earned it. It's hardly losing 5-3 to Lincoln or 7-1 to Posh. We go again.

If people think this is bad on 18:03 - Feb 1 by jasondozzell | Yeah I think the balance between new players needed at this level, keeping the team identity and integrating players without disrupting relationships was always going to be so so hard. And that's even before you consider that we had to do 2 or 3 years of recruitment in one window because of the fast rise. But we've sat through far worse than this. We've still got a chance of staying up. We didn't have that in March 2019. |
This is something that's left me scratching my head. I was confident that we would improve throughout the season as our new players were integrated. But I think our performances have got worse.

Just listened to KM interview after the game on Town TV again. I think the integration you mention is an issue but I think it's more complex than it seems and in a way we haven't yet had the chance to perfect it. He speaks so well as ever. Calm, articulate, determined. Obviously very disappointed but spot on in his analysis. He makes the point that the group is still in effect in development. Enciso, Philogene, Godfrey just arrived. Ogbene and Burns injuries means relationships on right hand side have to be relearnt. Players arrived late in the summer and took time to get up to speed to play let alone develop. A lot of players adjusting to the level and team mates says KM. He thinks we will improve with more time. He mentioned the training time coming up. think he's absolutely right. It's not over by a long way. KM is too good for us to go down with a whimper. 14 games. 42 points. [Post edited 2 Feb 9:48]

We’ve had more training ground time this season than in the years previous. We’ve just been beaten by the current (points wise) Premier League side at home, and we did all the work for them. McKenna has been tactically naive all season and yesterday was no different, he may speak well but we watched a team walk out looking beaten before the game even got going. The mentality was not there to fight to stay up. We had a team playing to pattern, creating little and not having the drive to win. Yesterday wasn’t a gulf in quality, it was a gulf in mental strength. We’re down unfortunately. What happens next is really important, one thing is for sure is we can’t repeat the disastrous recruitment policies of this season again.
