The polite clapping at the end 18:04 - Feb 1 with 1292 viewscooper442

Ok I'm not one for booing or anything but I was amazed that people still had the will to clap after that .
We just got turned over by one the worst football teams the Premier league has ever seen .
I was bloody fuming !

Does it not count as support if you didn’t clap a loss to bottom of the league Southampton? Just asking.

It is possible to still clap while being absolutely fuming.

Paying customers have the right to do as they please.

For what it's worth I didn't clap either, I usually do even in defeat but today was one of the rare times I chose not to purely because of the lack of desire.

You were fuming? I still am and likely will be for the next week.

Applause loses it's value when done as a routine habit rather than when something really deserves it. Sensible response to that performance today would have been to stand there staring at them in absolute silence. Today's shower got applauded for turning up and participating. I never got applauded for that at work.

Veni Vidi Participatur. Now we can get back to competing.
