How do we stay up? 11:47 - Feb 2 with 3778 views | Jrm_72 | Thought on this frosty Sunday (both literal and figurative) we might engage the hive mind on this question. Given the 'buy different players' lever is probably now done, we have our 25 till May. What do we change as a team using the available resources, to keep us up? Different formation? Different tactics? changing players positions? What do you think our next play is?

How do we stay up? on 15:54 - Feb 2 by blueasfook | Well you keep bleating on about another keeper so I was wondering who you had in mind. |
Never underestimate “bleating”. Looks like KM’s been in MA’s ear too -

How do we stay up? on 13:15 - Feb 3 with 490 views | wischip | Bring on 4 finishers around the 60-65 mark, like the old days. Davis and Delap even if playing well are gonna be knackered playing 90 minutes nearly every game all season. We need to be going strong into the last quarter of games not tiring.
SEVEN actions to SAVE the season on 13:25 - Feb 3 with 482 views | unstableblue | 1) Sort the goalkeeper situation - DONE 2) Keep morale and confidence going (once this truly goes there's no way back) - Coventry in cup away may help, I do think Mckenna and senior players can keep spirits up. 3) Isolate each game, treat each one as a one-off cup final and challenge - I know Mckenna always states this to be the case in how they prep - but we need to block out the league position now, siege mentality. Go at Spurs at home for example. 4) Bring back the fight, energy and press - Brentford away, Fulham away, Spurs away, Villa home, Fulham home, first half home against Liverpool, there was real aggression and a structured press on display. Its ebbed away of late. 5) Improve our attacking play - Davis is getting pinned back, Burns and Ogbene are out, Omari is giving cheap ball turnover, we're not overloading. We need to bed Philogene and Enciso into a attacking system that works, and can punish teams. Our XG is too low. 6) Settle on the right selection and system, maybe Burgess back in, Phillips for Morsy, Omari out further right always. Stick with what works. Palmer for Muric a start of that team refresh. 4 at bakc at home, 5 away. Get Axel and Davis upfield. 7) FANS need to improve and stay with the team, BIG time. We've had one TIFO all season, some games we've failed to support effectively. If we lose faith completely, this drops onto the pitch. We are NOT relegated. But its getting close, action needed now.

Your username doesn't check out, that all seems very rational and achievable. Need the away support at Cov to be LOUD. We also need to make PR a fortress again.

*Definitely* Burgess back in. Anyone got stats on our ppg when he starts v. when he doesn't?

... at the start of the season, before injury. I rate him, but perhaps he has come back in with less impressive form. I rate the ex-Hull player highly. But Burgess has looked strong, and his distribution to Leif has been excellent. Burgess played in the Spurs win, Wolves and Leicester and Man U draw. But was in for the Newcastle drubbing. And Forest/Bournemouth losses. Maybe a switch to Burgess worthwhile. BUT not sure this is our main problem area. We need to improve the attacking 4.
