Kelleher 09:51 - Feb 3 with 1997 views | weepingx2018 | Could we not spend what money we have on Kelleher from Liverpool? I know its 99.9999999% not happening but its a nice thought.... or a loan.
Kelleher on 09:53 - Feb 3 with 1957 views | berkstractorboy | No, we have 2 domestic loans. On what planet does Kelleher come here in the predicament we are in? [Post edited 3 Feb 9:54]

Kelleher on 09:54 - Feb 3 with 1923 views | SaffronWaldenBlues | We can't loan anymore. The fee is irrelevant, he won't take a wage cut to join a relegated side and play Championship football next season when he's on the verge of winning the Premier League and playing in Europe again next season. It would be financial suicide for him to do that.

Kelleher on 09:57 - Feb 3 with 1868 views | Scuzzer | Should have got him at the start of the season when he was being touted to leave. Instead we wasted 8.5m on Muric. Or even Ramsdale would be an upgrade.

Kelleher on 09:58 - Feb 3 with 1822 views | SuffolkPunchFC | If we stay up, Kelleher would be a great addition and knows a number of the lads here. It won't happen this window - too little time to buy, and we're out of loan spots until the summer. It's also implausible that we'd bring in another keeper permanently until we can move Muric or Walton on

ramsdale cost 3 times as much as muric, and vastly higher wages, you'd hope he'd be an upgrade, it's a different market! hasn't helped soton much though....

If we'd signed him we'd probably have been 15th. Southampton generally are so bad that having him hasn't saved them.

don't see it, he's made less saves than muric, not a gamechanger. in any case, he would've been unaffordable for us anyway.

Kelleher on 10:21 - Feb 3 with 1461 views | J2BLUE | He would be £50m+ and even if we had a loan spot why would Liverpool loan him out? He's an excellent #2 keeper and they are fighting on four fronts.

Most certainly, but all you've got to do is choose ONE of Clarke and Philogene, rather than both, and hey presto, we can shop in that market. Indeed, some cynics might say neither of the above players, rather than one. It's no coincidence that our one really good season in the Premier League coincided with having a genuinely top keeper. I appreciate the league has changed a lot in that time, but I believe that the same principle holds. Plus, if you're gonna play like we play, and have 25% of the possession, you ain't gonna score too many, so it becomes all the more crucial to have a top class keeper (wherever you believe Muric sits on the clown spectrum).

the wages arsenal and liverpool pay are a lot more than villa and sunderland, so still don't think it's affordable or wise within ffp. plus, it really hasn't helped soton, having a "top class keeper", has it!

Kelleher has already said he wants to leave in the summer, and Liverpool indicated he can leave. He's a No 1, but will be No 3 at Liverpool next season, if he stayed. He won't.

Still wouldn't come here even if we suddenly found the fee down the back of the sofa.

I didn't say he'd come here - I was responding to the question 'why would he leave Liverpool'.

I said why would Liverpool let him go? He may well want to be a #1 but they wouldn't let him go in this window as they won't find a better #2. He probably wants his medal as well after doing so well covering for Alisson.
