Palmer or Slicker on Saturday? 21:18 - Feb 3 with 3467 viewsLeistonBlue

Surely we give Palmer a chance to bed in ahead of league action. Or does Kieran still decide to give slicker a (well deserved) opportunity?

EDIT: Is he cup tied?

Think we'll 100% see Palmer. Will be interesting to see how KM plays the rest of the team. There are a few definites I'd say: Godfrey, Wolfy, Townsend, Phillips, Taylor, Philogene, Hirst. Big game for us in terms of resetting and getting some fresh momentum going, but Coventry are a good side in good form. A dispiriting loss would be horrible.

He’s not cup tied and I think we should start him and go with

Palmer

Godfrey
Woolfenden
Burgess
Townsend

Phillips
Taylor

Philogene
Broadhead
Clarke

Hirst

I reckon McKenna will go pretty strong and if he is starting Palmer you would ideally want your CBs in. Maybe

Palmer
Godfrey O'Shea Greaves Townsend
Morsy Phillips
Philogene Broadhead Clarke
Hirst

(In reality I do think Woolf or Burgess at least will start but think he will go quite strong).

Poll: Who do we think McKenna (not you) will partner Greaves with ?

I'd rather we don't go strong for this one. Lots of the lads look knackered. Yeah yeah a cup run would be great but surely we have to concentrate on trying to stay up this season, Odds against but it's not totally futile (yet).

Getting knocked out the cup has in my opinion done us more good than harm of late.
