Modern day refs 10:30 - Feb 16 with 426 viewsBuffaloBill

Overly officious and with their pathetic manicured hairstyles (yeah I get it's 2025) but fu ck me they more and more feel like they're trying to be centre of attention. The f uck head today was a perfect example.

Maybe it's irrational but how i long for a ref that's happy to blend in to the background.

Most are perfectly happy to blend into the background but what with every decision being analysed to death, blending in is quite hard to achieve.

If such analysis was around forty years ago then people then would have said exactly the same.

I'm not sure. Referees across the continent are scrutinised in the same way but, having watched games, there seems to be less controversial decisions and better control of matches in continental/international competitions. Not perfect - it never will be - but far better.
