It’s because we ripped out the core (Chaplin, Broadhead, Burns) of a team that was so synchronised in everything we did - had spent two successful years essentially developing that understanding and cohesion.

Not sure what has happened to our interplay and transitions, team looks like it has no clue of what the player next to him is going to do or where they are going, it wasn’t hard, last season, give and go, play the ball to your team mate and go past your opposition for a return. We look like Leicester from last season, start a promising break and then all of a sudden turn around and let them regroup. I understand pitch was wet but it was crying out for wholesale changes on 60 mins like
Old times and nothing happened. This season we are slow and ponderous and I’m afraid to say players brought in not good enough, even delap flattered to deceive tonight. | | | |
