No shame in that, going up against clubs that have years and millions to build squads.
Surprised so many people are angry, this season has panned out exactly how I thought, competitive, but not clinical enough.
We go again next season with a stronger squad than our previous stint in the Championship. |  |

You are right of course, although that doesn't make it any less frustrating. There have been so many games that we have been 'in' this season but poor mistakes have been the difference. It feels like missed opportunities.
Hopefully lessons are learned from the experience and we come back up a stronger outfit. I also hope it gives us the extra time to sort out our over-seas recruitment. That is going to be vital if we want to follow the Brentford/Brighton/Bournemouth models of the league. |  | | |

The difficulty is, other than the end of the first half after they went down to ten, we weren't competitive yesterday. It was one of the most shocking performances of the season. |  |
