Our second goal 11:01 - Feb 27 with 589 viewsFacefacts

Great ball into an area of defensive uncertainty by Jaden Philogene. Either Liam Delap gets a one-on-one chance or it sneaks into the corner of the net.

Seen it described as a little fortunate or lucky. No way was it lucky. COYBs.

Not dissimilar to the ball into the box for their (Morsy’s) first goal, just less pace on it. Ball into a zone which is horrible to defend.

Arguably the keeper could have done better, but to be honest it's hard for a keeper to know where to go with a ball like that.

He has to assume Delap is going to get a touch on it and line up accordingly.

Especially a dodgy keeper, on what was clearly an immensely slippery surface - so it's frustrating that we didn't go on to test him with the occasional low long shot. Or basically any further shots whatsoever...

You can see glimpses of why we went in hard to get Philogene, he's just clearly low on confidence much like Jack Clarke has been. The good thing is he's s had some good things go his way last night unlike Jack earlier in the season. We just have to hope that confidence washes back over him.

My worry is the lack of confidence seems to be spreading within the team at the minute not abating. I can't really think of any player that seems to be growing in confidence and development this season, other than Jack Clarke. Players have either come in at the required standard (Jens, Delap, Palmer and maybe O'Shea) or they have pretty much stagnated. We need a few more to kick on, grow and show their worth.
