We probably did in some respects. A lot of the "League One" player stuff is a myth. Walton (Brighton), Clarke (Arsenal), Axel, Williams (Manure), Mass (Spurs), Broadhead (Everton), Omari (Chelsea and Arsenal), and Hirst (Leicester) had all come out of Premier League systems. Walton, Clarke, Davis, Edmundson, Morsy, Chaplin, Mass, Harness, Ball, Broadhead, Taylor, and Hirst played Championship football before joining Town. Even Aluko had played in the Premier League.
We went up with a squad good enough for the Championship, supplemented with other near-Premiership-standard players such as Omari, Moore, Williams, Axel T. Our business was good. It just wasn't good enough this summer/January. We haven't been able to supplement our Championship squad with Premier League quality players. |  |

I think you mean our former league One player’s. A tad disrespectful to refer to them as that now.
They earned the right to play in the Premier league. They train, play and and carry themselves as Top League player’s now and I really think that’s how we should acknowledge them. | | | |
