I’ve never understood this “the prem needs Man City” narrative. Makes no sense at all. Top flight football operated just fine before City found money and started cheating.
Replace them with Leeds who are a bigger club anyway and who cares about the cheats. |  |

Yes it could still matter and for what it's worth we probably are the 18th best team.
The Premier League is essentially the 20 clubs with one vote for the chairman and the idea the others want to protect City is, in my view, complete nonsense.
City will almost certainly be found guilty of most of the charges as UEFA have already found them guilty based on the same evidence. The only reason that decision was overturned was because the charges were time barred but that rule isn't in EPL rules.
I suspect City will drag it out with an appeal but it would be stupid to give in now just in case. It's probably only a 10% chance but..... | | | |
