Some horses for those asking…

As usual, we’re on the train en route. Should be class. In an excellent position antepost and very much targeting around 5k profit for the week. Realistic number from the position I’m in.

Some thoughts for those asking:
Tuesday:
should be a day for the favs. Am all over kopek Des Bordes (NAP) anntepost and still think Evens is fair enough. He should win if handling the preliminaries. Maj will be the Arkle if running to form. 4/7 is about right. Ultima I’ve a couple of chances. Trelawne 25s and Broadway Boy 8s my current fancies but I’ve the fav antepost who I’ve gone off somewhat. Connie would be my pick for the champion hurdle but it’s a race just to enjoy at the prices. Lossie will win the mares but she really ought to be in the big one so it’s a shame seeing her there. 4/6 is probably a lump job though because she’s a 4/9 poke with me. Boodles I really like Hot fuss. Antepost and again 6 places at 12s. NH Chase transmission 5/1 the bet and a small play Heracles Westwood at 25s each way.

Wednesday:
Final demand v The New Lion is a cracker. An on final demand at big prices antepost so hope he wins but I’d make the new lion a huge danger. Couldn’t split them. Ballyburn (NAP) should be 4/6. 13/8 a week ago was enormous. 3/1 a month ago even more so. Am very heavy on him and would be disappointed if he won. Backed dancing city 12/1 for this after the Aintree hurdle last year but Ballyburn is a much much larger return so I’d be screaming him home. He’s the one for the day. Coral cup is all about the fav for me. Be Aware would be one of my stronger fancies of the weeks across the handicaps. Cross country Busselton 66s e/w is a really decent return at a huge price and he’s been smashed into single figures with the ground in his favour. Don’t fancy the fav at all there. Between Galvin and Buss for me. Champion chase I don’t fancy Jonbon. I think jumping at pace round Cheltenham will find him out. Think Solness off the front will cause him major problems.no strong opinion on the grand annual but have backed my mate mozzie who I’m convinced will relish a fast pace grand annual as is typical. Bumper Mullins probably wins as usual. Actually backed game of inches at 16s before his debut as I’ve a source in the yard and they really liked him. I cashed it out when his debut race was cancelled due to Mikey O Sullivans tragic passing. I then liked Kaylan 25/1 e/w but he’s been withdrawn this morning with a minor setback so I’ll have to go back to the drawing board.

Thursday:
My mate owns the Mullins fav here in the Mares novice. Outside chance if she wins I’ll go in the parade ring to join the celebrations. I actually fancy Sixandahalf to beat her though. Onto the novice handicap now and it’s my NAP of the week. Jagwar at 5/1 is a horse I’ve been backing for a long long time. He’d win either of the two handicaps he’s in and am heavily invested NRNB for both. But the novice handicap will be his race I expect he goes to (unknown for sure at the time of writing) and he will win it. I absolutely love his profile. I think Teahupoo wins the stayers but like Bob olinger at 25/1 e/w if he gets declared. Fact to file should win the Ryanair but it’s a hot race and would only back him if he drifted a bit. Will add a couple in the handicaps but will wait till entries.

Friday:
Lulamba is a big one for me. Obviosuly he’s 7/4 fav now but I have a decent bet at 33s. I did actually post on Twitter before his debut that he was a bet for this from everything I’d heard on him and he’s proven to be very good based on that run. He’s a big return unsurprisingly so wish him well for me lads haha. County hurdle this French horse for Mullins is fascinating. Not much opinion on the race really at this point but have got a bit on kargese antepost at 14s. Galopin des champs for the gold cup would be the last of a few multiples hopefully so could be worth a few quid come Friday. Dinoblue in the mares last year getting chinned cost me a few grand. I’ve kept the faith this year and fancy her to go one better. She’d also be the last leg of a few multiples so could potentially be worth a good amount if things go well earlier in the week in antepost multis. Angels Dawn (NAP) in the foxhunters is still a great bet at 7/2 although some rain would help. Been chipping away on him for a fair few months. Wodhooh in the finale again is an antepost bet and has his chance.

Overall strongest fancies at current prices:
- Ballyburn 11/10
- Jagwar 5/1
- Kopek Des Bordes Evens

Best antepost potential returns:
- Lulamba 33/1
- Kopek Des Bordes 12/1
- Jagwar 8/1 & 13/2 e/w
- Busselton 66/1 e/w

Good luck all. I’ll be in an out of the thread after racing each day when we get back to the gaf.

So many bookies boosted the fave in gold cup...

I'm going for Corbetts Cross to win and Ahoy Senor to place.

Nice write up as always Rommers. I remember discussing Kargese last year with you and you were correct about Majborough beating her, just getting ahead of her after the last.

I'm there tomorrow and I'm going big on Kargese. Been my fancy of the festival for a good while now

Best of luck for tomorrow

Lovely result for us.

Really was a graded horse in a handicap
