Where do 20:06 - Mar 15 with 2311 views | backwaywhen | So called Town fans get off on constantly moaning about the team and calling for McKenna head , do they honestly think we would over achieve again as a club , this season was always always going to be difficult and a stiff test for all concerned at the club , the Premier league is rightly known as possibly the best league and also toughest in world football , and here we are so far out performing the two teams below us with far more premiership experience. Give the club a break and digest what’s happened and how quickly to boot , I finally thought today’s opponents came up and got relegated first season , came back wiser and stronger and guess what they are a million times better for it , take the rough with the smooth as I have always been told and patience will be rewarded . We’ve taken 1 point off Southampton and Leicester mate. You can’t tell me they’re better teams than we’d have faced in any other Prem season, they’re cack

You say that but they were still both sides we defied all odds to finish above last season. On paper, we are the worst side in the division. The most likely outcome this season was relegation so people should not be surprised that is what is going to happen.

Where do on 09:42 - Mar 16 by Herbivore | Forest stayed up in a season where all three promoted sides stayed up and you had Leicester, Saints, and Leeds all imploding. Every side in the Prem has got better over the last 2-3 years, we don't have three established sides imploding this year, it was always going to be about finishing above Leicester and Saints (who we're currently above) and hopefully one other. The only side in touching distance has been Wolves, a side that includes three Brazilian international and a handful of Portuguese ones. Their new manager has managed to get enough of a tune out of them that they've pulled away. Not one other side has been close to danger in months. When making comparisons with what others have done in past seasons, context is important. Forest didn't just have to breach FFP, they also needed more favourable conditions in their relegation battle than we've been afforded. |
My response wasn't about how or why Forest stayed up, but a reply to the poster who said Forest went down and came straight back up stronger.
