No matter what the story is (and it's often positive) it's just a cascade of negativity.

As someone who has written a weekly column for over 12 years for the EADT, I concur with this. Even worse is the EADT website comments section under each article. That is a cesspit of miserable and cantankerous individuals.

There was one poster who recently got banned from there (and this forum as it happens) who despite living in the south of France, of retirement age, and with grandchildren, chose to jump in with comments of vitriol and abuse, usually within an hour of my columns going online every week.

Why they could not settle for doing something more productive with what seemed like quite an idyllic lifestyle was beyond me...
