It's very likely that Burgess is going to get beat out there, doubling up in order to affect the cross is clearly the better decision. Davis is in no man's land, not defending a danger area either. It's just bad defending I'm afraid. |

I've not exempted Burgess from any fault. In fact at the time I wondered what the hell he was doing out there. But watching it back (which you might want to do) it's pretty clear following that Davis is nowhere defensively. I don't generally go in for the cleaning them out type of defending myself and he is just too quick for Burg. Can't see what you mean by trying to cover two positions at once, as it doesn't seem like he is. | | | |

The Leif slander on here borders on the extreme sometimes. He's not had a great season but to hope we sell him is nuts. And Townsend is 32. He's benefitted hugely from *not* playing much football this season. I'd be nervous if we had to play him for 46 games next year. |

FWIW - I said at the time it was all on CB for not winning that header.
