Our last three relegations are almost 12:31 - Apr 19 with 4616 views | FromReuserWithLove | Symbolised by absolute horror shows in the goalkeeping department. Sereni Bombing of Bart Muric Goalkeeper is a very important position isn't it.

Our last three relegations are almost on 10:29 - Apr 20 by FromReuserWithLove | Which is kinda my point with the OP but it got detailed with folk needlessly defending Aro. Oh well. |
Derailed? How so? I think it's been a pretty decent thread. A few suggesting Muric should be held wholly responsible for our relegation. A few more suggesting that isn't the case. I don't see a derailment, unless of course the only contributors welcome to post in the thread are those that hold the opinion Muric has cost us our place in the PL. That wasn't made clear in the OP.
| Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness. |

Because the the post was never about attacking Muric more about goalkeeper issues defining all our relegation seasons. Whether or not you rate Sereni or Muric is irrelevant as it is undeniable that the management of their position in the relevant seasons was very disruptive and the major talking points. I don't know what was so hard to understand? Apologies.

Our last three relegations are almost on 10:45 - Apr 20 by Smoresy | Fantasy thinking that imo. Muric conceded 5 or 6 terribly soft goals and still has a better save record than Palmer, much better than Walton. Remove all his disasters, keep everything else, and Muric becomes one of the better keepers in the league. Recapping our lost points: 1 against City? Two bad errors in the 4-1 loss. They mauled us after we scored and then coasted through the second half; one of their easiest wins of the seasons probably. 2 or 3 against Bournemouth? They dominated us all second half and scored again ten minutes later, so it would be optimistic to claim he cost us the win. 1 against Brentford, definitely. He was in credit that game before the howler. 3 against Southampton, probably. Good PL keepers would expect to save both efforts. Hard to know for sure if Palmer would have. I can't think of any others. Offsetting the lost points, he was the highest rated player in the Brighton draw and Tottenham win. He also had a useful knack of saving one-on-ones in our early season draws. Summarising, 9-10 more points would have required the best keeper on the planet. We could say the same about having a healthy Rodri in midfield or last season's Haaland up front, and even then it wouldn't have been enough. Our situation is no single player's fault. Realistically, Palmer from the start may have earned us 3-6 more. |
Obviously he's not the sole reason. But to say that if you discount all of his howlers, then he's one of the better keepers in the league? Ridiculous, You must be watching different games to me.

He'll probably go out on loan once he's fit in the summer, in a parallel to the last relegation season with Sereni. Actually, you could similarly compare Sixto and Cajuste and Liam Delap and Marcus Bent, come to think of it. |
