99.999999% certain we’re going to be relegated next Saturday. I’m quite relaxed about this tbh. The journey here was so much more enjoyable than the destination has proved to be and although the players, manager and staff have worked incredibly hard, it’s been just a step too far currently.
Positives……
We can renew our rivalry against the yellow peril up the A140 on and off the pitch again next season.
We have a magnificent fan base on the whole who, apart from a few dissenting voices, have backed the team home and away.
We’ve been privileged to see some of the best football players in the world up close and personal, breathtaking at times.
We’ll get some extra games to attend and be in a much more competitive league.
There won’t be the big team (it exists) bias that appears to (subconsciously at least) affect officiating at times. I will add that hasn’t in any way majorly affected our league position but is feckin annoying nonetheless.
My lad will be back from his travels and will be my football match day buddy again.
Half and half scarf selling spivs won’t be littering Portman Rd like some second rate Sunday market.
Roll on August, the Championship and let’s keep behind the lads and manager for the remainder of the season.
Love this club.
Uppa Town.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Fair to say that the concerns some of us expressed about the promised land have been borne out....roll on August. Just have to figure out if I can still afford a season ticket still now that I am no longer a personal assistant!

I agree but am not looking forward to that rivalry. We just can't seem to overcome the bogey they have become for us.

Also, I am very confident that our next venture into the promised land will be better than this time around. Considering we are only 1 place off where we need to be, it is about making sure that improvement is enough to increase the league placing.

One place sounds close but in reality we needed almost double the points we’ve managed to cobble together.

I’ll happily admit I didn’t envisage us and Leicester being so utterly far off it.

It’s been a truly hideous eye opener, particularly since Christmas.

I agree. However, we have got our noses ahead plenty of times without being able to see matches out. Without the injuries we have had we would have been closer. A big improvement is needed and we have at least a year to make that improvement. Lessons need to be learnt.

No VAR next year so don’t come on here moaning about refs costing us points next season.

Not sure I did in previous seasons. But actually, it’s more the waste of time, the need to check first before celebrating and the reliance refs now seem to have on the system rather than their own decision.
