Not a person in the stadium appealed either on or off the pitch.

I really dislike VAR as a whole, but is that not what VAR is for? - When things aren’t seen live. Just because nobody appealed, doesn’t make it not a penalty, the commentators bias was atrocious throughout the game.

If it’s against town I’m angry, but Lewis-Skelly’s arm is outstretched and it hits his hand, they’re given every single week in the Prem.

Assuming a handball is effectively considered a foul, and a foul is something that has put the attacking team at a disadvantage, then awarding a penalty for that incident is an absolute farce, so you couldn't be more wrong IMO.

Handball has had so little logic applied to it for years anyway it kind of doesn't matter any more, the whole system is b*ggered.

It’s handball , it’s obvious.
Just because nobody appealed has absolutely nothing to do with it so don’t know why commentators are going on about it .

Which bit of it makes it not a penalty, though?

- Did it hit his hand? YES
- Was his hand in a natural position/close to his body? NO

It's handball. No idea why people are losing their mind about this.

We could (maybe should) change the handball rules, but you can't play by what you think the rules *should* be.

Yes, the problem is the new handball law, exacerbated by the way in which VAR enforces it rigorously.

If that same incident happened against a team we were playing, would you not be wanting a penalty? That’s the way I judge these type of incidents. I think if that had happened against us and nothing was given, they’d be plenty on here moaning.

Poll: Where are we going to finish?
