Ipswich keen on ex-Boro star’s son
According to a report in the Sun, Ipswich are keen on signing defender Max Johnston - the son of former Boro winger Allan. Max, 21, is enjoying his second season in Austria for Sturm Graz. He helped them win a league and cup double in his first year and they’re currently top again.
A right-back, Ipswich are said to view Johnston Jnr as a replacement for Ben Johnson, who is said to be a target for Fulham following the Tractor Boys’ relegation. Sturm Graz are said to value Johnston at £3.5m after he made his Scotland debut in March. |  |
