Wembley Atmosphere 16:56 - May 17 with 794 viewswarky_1970

For those not old enough to remember.

The atmosphere and scenes from the Palace supporters today is very reminiscent of 1978. The FA Cup rarely has this sort of atmosphere nowadays but when Palace scored it reminded me so much of ‘78 the way it was celebrated.

Having watched a bit more of it this year, the cup seemed to have a bit more about it didn’t it? I guess for the likes of Forest Palace etc winning that can be a club defining moment.

The Cup had shed loads more about it. Clubs wouldn't have dreamt of resting players for a cup game. So after winning the league it was the next best thing (Per champions league)

Now - I think many clubs would take Champions League qualification ahead of a cup win - which is pretty sad tbh

Poll: This new lockdown poll - what you reckon?

No I mean this year compared to the last 5-10 seems to have got the buzz back a little bit. It’s obviously been completely devalued for a few decades now.
