We can’t even continue the nonsense narrative that I’ve seen on here, that finishing above Leicester would at least imply we have improved on last season.
For the outlay, it has been an utter disaster.
We’ve been beaten by both Southampton and Leicester this year.
I can sort of accept the batterings from Man City, Newcastle, Forest & Spurs, but those two results are the clearest indication that we just got it horribly wrong since Xmas. |  |

To be honest at the beginning of the season I believed we might just finish 16/17th but that idea soon disappeared. This calendar year has been nothing short of embarrassing, dreadful home record and a manager who seems to lack any Plan B.
The biggest disappointment has been the recruitment though, injuries haven’t helped but those that have played have been miles off the standard required.
I want McKenna to stay but he’s had a shocker of a year and the team needs a strong start next season. | | | |
