Charity shop find - Grenadan ITFC stamps 12:05 - May 24 with 751 viewsZx1988

Found these in a charity shop up here in Norwich, in a bucket of £1 picture frames:



Anyone come across these before?

Given the stamps are not franked then ideal for postcards when on holiday in Grenada.

I wonder what the story is behind their existence .. it seems a bit random.


My best guess would be that they were a cash-in for the club after the successful 5th-placed season, and the Grenadan post office is one of those that'll print whatever you want on a stamp in exchange for some hard currency.

A bit like how you get all those limited edition commemorative coins issued by the Crown Dependencies and South Sea Islands.

Googling them suggests that they also had something to do with a set of 'Victory Cards', which seemed to commemorate victories against the likes of Kidderminster (AET):
