The cheese rolling 2025 event went well then 18:26 - May 27 with 772 views | The_Romford_Blue | Presumably he’s the guy airlifted to hospital. I’m amazed it hasn’t been banned yet tbh but what an odd yet fascinating concept and event [Post edited 27 May 18:27]

The cheese rolling 2025 event went well then on 18:36 - May 27 with 680 views | Zx1988 | It's a wonderfully eccentric and uniquely British event. Sadly it's being ruined by social media and suchlike, which will probably cause it to become unmanageable in the not too distant future, with the end result being that it gets cancelled/banned.

I read earlier it’s averaged 1 use of the air ambulance per year in recent times and an average of 5 people hospitalised. Is it really necessary? I’m not against it for what it’s worth but I just think it’s somewhat odd that it continues. An air ambulance call-out remember costs just under 5k a time of taxpayers money. At least when it’s required in sport, there’s a reason behind it. Is chasing a bit of cheese (and not a sport) really necessary behaviour? [Post edited 27 May 18:41]

Have you seen the Netflix documentary on it? It's a great watch. It's tongue-in-cheek, but a good insight into the tradition, albeit a bonkers one. We Are The Champions - Episode 1 https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/81034679
