Tonight’s culinary experience, or nosebag to the likes of me was Shapla in Woodbridge.
Poppadoms and pickles, prawn puri and meat samosas starter. Tandoori mixed grill with bicycle seat, Aloo Gobi, mushroom rice washed down with Cobra.
I have to say it was lovely. Good service from pleasant people, great food, no pressure to mangle your food quickly, pretty busy restaurant. Happy days. 9/10

There's actually a better one in Woodbridge....The Royal Bengal in Quay Street. A bit more expensive but more variation and choice.

Both Shapla and the Royal Bengal in Woodbridge are good. I think Wickham also has a good one (The Bengal), although not been - may head there in a few weeks when we're next back. |  |

Went to watch a film in Woodbridge on a Thursday night a couple of weeks back and couldn't believe quite how cosmopolitan it has become! So many restaurants etc and busy too. |  |

Used to habituate the Shapla when we lived in Woodbridge. lovely people and quality food. (Mrs B had Indian grandparents and knows a good curry)
Had a bad experience in the other place -- but things change - restaurants have good and bad days.

Thing is, I can get to Woodbridge in 15 mins. Wickham M is double the distance. Is it worth it? Hell, have car will travel I’ll give it a go. | | | |
