Glasto 08:50 - Jun 26 with 3144 views | Cheltenham_Blue | Does anyone else get irritated by BBC coverage of Glastonbury? Another year of the BBC trying to "give viewers the full Glastonbury experience" by interviewing middle class people with middle class presenters in sanitised areas while sitting on bright primary colour sofas with cushions. Maybe just me, but that 'aint Glastonbury.

Nah that's Wimbledon. Ill never forget the time listening to Simon Mayos show on the radio and he was doing it from Wimbledon for no reason other than he could, and then did the film reviews with Kermode, from Wimbledon, and every so often they'd mention a score in a match they weren't watching or covering live because they were reviewing films anyway And I just thought this is insane. It's the same though at Glasto or Silverstone next week the Beeb will triple up on staff covering it when they really have no valid reason to be there, essentially so they have a jolly on a day out

Glasto on 11:26 - Jun 27 by wischip | and saying every artist playing the gig 'absolutely smashed it' gets a bit tedious. I still miss John Peel presenting it. When he used to politely say 'that was something I don't really much care for' you knew he thought it was sh-t. [Post edited 27 Jun 11:27]

Also when did "I am loving that" become the only acceptable form of praise ? That wording suggests that the 'loving' is for a certain amount of time - I am loving that now - but will stop at some time in the future. It's not much of a compliment. Yes, 'smashing it' seems to mean something profound. Especially with regards to a band / song / performance that is average at best.
