Don’t think he was our first choice though. Seem to recall we spent the summer chasing the Greek lad, whose name escapes me. And then Broja! [Post edited 23 Jul 10:39]

How much happier we would all be had we signed Ioanidis and Broja instead of Delap.

Ultimately, it is clear we have not got at least one striker we have gone after over the line in each of the last 5-6 windows. However, in the case of Broja at least we should recognise there may be very good reasons why we might not sign them. The balance between going after realistic signings that are good enough for where we want to be and settling for a notch below is a fine line to tread.
