I’m a little nervous about the Hackney situation. If no other clubs are competing for his signature especially the PL clubs that he’s been linked with then you have to ask the question why not? £20m is nothing to most established PL clubs so what do we see in him that they don’t?
On the other hand, now that our offer is on the table and known to everyone else, it does open the door for us to be gazumped as he will probably choose an Everton, Palace or other PL team if they match or better our bid which leaves us back at square one.
Hopefully we will finalise the deal soon but the longer it goes on the less likely he will be a Town player.

Because football has sadly changed when alot of players are happy to be benched and get paid or even unregistered and paid.
10 years ago you could snap up a fringe prem player. It doesn't appear to happen anymore. | |
