When I was 23 I would have jumped at the opportunity to move to the other end of the country and experience a new lifestyle.

Oh, and earn £35k per week......

He's not exactly in a regular job though, is he? Football js a short career, at 23 he's at a fairly pivotal time in his journey, particularly if he wants a decent career in the top tier. This will be his first move away from Boro and it's a big decision for him in terms of his career. People scoffing at and downplaying that aspect of it (not you so much) is a bit weird. It's right that he should take a bit of time to make sure it's the right move for him, if anything I'd say it reflects well on his character. There's a limit and I'm sure we'll move on if things aren't concluded soon but the transfer has only really been fully in motion for a little under a week, it's hardly an eternity. The 24 hour news cycle has made people incredibly impatient.

Exactly. Game’s gone if ITK merchants are going with “he’s undecided”.

Well quite.

I'm almost tempted to dive into the cesspool that is wider social media to post

"Will he be an an Ipswich player this season? Probably.
Will he be an Ipswich player in time for the first game of the season? Probably not.
Unless he moves elsewhere.... or stays at Boro"

To be fair though, each week he will be earning more than most in a year, so one years wages covers roughly what most earn in a lifetime, so even if he signed a two year contract, and got injured in the first month, he should still have plenty to live on, so I'm sorry, all this talk about having to think of his future really gets my goat.

So he should just move wherever there's a decent contract on the table and not think about what's best for his career? And that's the attitude you'd like to see from a prospective signing?
