Who is the audience though? In reality how many people will see that.
We've known this for so long. What does it change?
The MAGA loons don't give a toss and will put no pressure on Trump whatsoever.
I hope and it's the slimmest of hopes, that the minor rumblings of discontent around Netenyahu's announcement today about Gaza start to slowly spread into some tangible rejection of his regime.
'UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer calls the Israeli security cabinet's decision to "further escalate its offensive" in Gaza "wrong" and urges the government to reconsider immediately.
"This action will do nothing to bring an end to this conflict or to help secure the release of the hostages. It will only bring more bloodshed," he says.
"Every day the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens and hostages taken by Hamas are being held in appalling and inhuman conditions.
"What we need is a ceasefire, a surge in humanitarian aid, the release of all hostages by Hamas and a negotiated solution. Hamas can play no part in the future of Gaza and must leave as well as disarm."
He goes on to say: "Together with our allies, we are working on a long-term plan to secure peace in the region as part of a two-state solution, and ultimately achieve a brighter future for Palestinians and Israelis.
"But without both sides engaging in good faith in negotiations, that prospect is vanishing before our eyes.
"Our message is clear: a diplomatic solution is possible, but both parties must step away from the path of destruction.”'
Realpolitik is quite difficult but has to be done.

Not sure if you're replying to me or Banksy Zombers. Whilst I'm not Starmer's biggest fan, I suppose I have to at least recognise he is a senior European leader who has issued one of the first statements decrying the announcement. But they are just words and actions speak louder than words. We'll see.

I was just rattling Banksters anarchist cage from my safe Democratic Socialist ivory tower. But whilst we are here I will try and rattle yours with choon from an act that are appearing at FolkEast next weekend:

This (Starmer) government also revoked licences for any offensive weapons to Isreal last year but didn’t seem to be widely reported. Unlike with Russia, any sanctions would be meaningless and token, Netanyahu has already shrunk the economy by about 20pc so he’s doing a fairly good job of wrecking their finances. Ultimately it’s US support that’s keeping this going, and there doesn’t seem to be much prospect of that changing.

Being mindful of not derailing the thread, I do have to say that I 'king loved that track Zombers. I saw Roger Daltrey at Audley End last week and he did a similar version but it was the violin player who carried the synth part. Very impressive.
This is probably the most obvious example of the flaws in American politics ever. The ‘war’ is not supported by the American population, has no effect on the lives of the American population, but because of the money provided by Israel’s lobbyists they continue to spend billions of taxpayer money to support the ‘war’. Joke of a system and doesn’t resemble democracy in the slightest

You have to keep your hope right?
Would've loved someone to bring this up when Trump was banging on about the "$60m we gave for food aid, and no-one even said thank-you"
Sorry, Donald, the people are too busy dying of hunger to thank-you for your measly $60m in aid. Maybe stop supplying the weapons to kill people, eh?

The "establishment" couldn't wait to condemn Kneecap and Bob Vylan a few weeks ago, and now they are basically agreeing with them.
The international reaction to what has happened over the last couple of years, from both governments and media, has been utterly shameful from the start. I'm not sure how you can possibly now unpick the damage that has been done.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

It's trying to unpick the mistakes that is the big mistake, all that can be done now is the imposition (by military force, maybe) of the two state solution upon Israel by a combined international effort, which is unlikely to include the United States until Trump is out of office. At least every nation that recognises Palestine as a state with a right to exist makes one necessary step towards to this end.
I like Stephen Flynn a lot and he knocks the ball out of the park.
"The SNP is calling for the recall of parliament so that MPs can approve sanctions against Benjamin Netanyahu in the light of his decision to extend the occupation of Gaza. In a statement Stephen Flynn, the SNP leader at Westminster, said:
"A genocide is happening before our eyes in Gaza. Words of condemnation aren’t anywhere near enough - if we have any hope of stopping this genocide strong actions are desperately needed, now.
That means Keir Starmer needs to recall Westminster and take concrete steps to sanction the Israeli government.
Those sanctions must include ending all arms sales to the Israeli military, stopping all training, logistical and military support to the IDF, directly and personally sanctioning Netanyahu and his ministers and finally and immediately recognising the state of Palestine before it is brutally wiped off the map.
If the international community fails to act - we are consciously and complicitly standing idly by - allowing Benjamin Netanyahu to plan, implement and inflict an ongoing genocide in Gaza."
EDIT: on a related point I heard an interview recently with an Israeli minister at the time of the Oslo Accord. He said he couldn't understand why Starmer's recognition of Palestine was in any way related to Israel's provision of aid. In other words, he thought recognition should not be conditional.
