credit to Brum they were very good, but my god we were poor, no-one really came out of that game with any credit. Yes some you can make excuses for, i.e. Ogbene, Szmodics back from long term injuries and Matusiwa making his debut in English football but the likes of Jack Clarke, Ben Johnson and Jack Taylor really need to have a think about that, they were dreadful. They really weren't. It was their big night out and they huffed and puffed and were niggly but TBH if that's the top of their game, they're in for a mid-table finish.
We were poor but improved, they got worse as the game went on.
Happy with a point at St Andrews, it's never an easy place to go. |
The worst thing they could have done was score. They then seemed to sit back a tried to game manage poorly, whilst we showed sporadic signs of life. They would have been better off taking the lead in injury time. |  |
