We will be absolutely fine 23:15 - Aug 8 with 624 viewsLongLegs

It’s clear to see we are a little short on confidence but that’s to be expected after last season. It’s a long season and plenty of time to find our groove. A few wins and we will be well on our way.

Great to get football back!!

This.
We will be fine.
Probably most intimidating ground we will play at all season and pick up a point.
Few more in few more out. Most importantly Mckenna remains our boss. Will finish top 2.

I agree and it's very clear that McKenna knows where he needs to strengthen. It'll come.

Poll: Should VAR be scrapped?

If Brum are supposedly 3rd favourites, with last years 111 point momentum, in their hostile home atmosphere and we are yet to rebuild the team and find form again, they really should have beaten us by 3 clear goals, but they didnt. We're going to be ok, it'll just take a month. It was also great to see KMcK bring on 3 finishers at 67 minutes, just like old times. It worked.

Few mentioned it a while ago but a Lewis Travis type 3rd choice centre mid would be astute championsip experience for similar tough away games

Yes, I was one who mentioned Travis last month, might be useful to have him or someone similar on the bench. Tonight we had Matusiwa and Taylor on yellows for a while. Always good to swap at least one for a third option to stand a better chance of keeping 11 on the pitch. If Matusiwa & Cajuste become the main 2 they still need a decent backup.

They should have beat a parachute team and favorites to win the league by 3 clear goals? Jesus, come on you can’t have it each and every way. One moment we’ve got too many new players, the next we haven’t rebuilt our 130M team.

On the night they were actually slight favorites, due to some of the things you mentioned but they had multiple players making their league debuts.

It’s a fine/good result but was an average/bad performance, don’t go to such lengths to exaggerate to make yourself feel better.

We will be fine though once we get some more through the door and settle into the season.
