It struck me at 2.00am last night than very few of the starters last night have any experience of success playing football McKenna's way. They won what four games last season and ended the last few weeks of the prem on thier knees! So they are going to need to build confidence in him and each other.
KM is starting from scratch really and without Morsy around hes lost his 2nd lieutenant on the pitch.
It shouldnt be to much of a surprise then if things dont cluck into place like last time we passed through the Championship. We were a confident, well drilled machine then. That aside, it's a reasonable point. Last night was also the wrong type of game to start building that confidence - very hard to play how we want to. Next Sunday will be very different, and hopefully allow us to express ourselves and start to build that confidence. |  | | |
