It’s really not a sign of anything. Portman Road was rocking on day 1, we were rocking - just like Sunderland and Leeds. It’s just that we played Liverpool.
Compare that to Everton tonight - tactically horrendous, zero width except for their fullbacks (Garner and O’Brien!), zero goal threat, set out to defend and invite Leeds on, and a gift of a penalty.

i have to say i thought the same thing after that game.
We were so far off them it was unreal that day, they just had us at arms length. |
We weren’t great that day, but don’t forget we had a pen awarded which took ages to be overturned by VAR; McKenna didn’t understand why. One of the many dodgy VAR calls to go against us last year. | | | |
