Petrol (Gas) station there still had all the pumps in place all with the counters in US Dollars. [Post edited 27 Aug 2025 14:12]

It's now a Majestic Wine shop, but still has some of the original design features: https://www.trove.scot/place/7 (Click the button to see extra photos, which include two of Spence's original designs) What it looks like now: https://www.flickr.com/photos/

The result of lend lease bringing in loads of petrol tractors from America. Nearly all without advice as to where best to put the pumps and tanks. Almost all rotted away now.
