Whats going on with him then? Is there any sign of him getting a new contract?

He's been kept in the group, and the next 3 months define his Town career and whether he's going to make the grade.

I think he'll make the grade and be an important part of the team.

I'm not the only one who thinks so either!

Him and Baggott in due to the fact we need one in the squad to be able to name 9 subs.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if him an Barbrook swap places in January. If Finn performs like he did against Bromley regularly at L1 level then I think he's more than capable to back up Matusiwa and ticks the academy box for us.

In the meantime he should be able to learn an awful from Nunez/ Matusiwa & Cajuste.

Would be amazed if he gets any game time in the league, felt like a championship loan was best for him as I can’t see him playing over Matusiwa, Jens or Nunez. Might be able be dislodge Taylor from 4th choice.

The only Muff in Town.

Apart from Young
I think his a decent left back as well. I think Greaves more suited to centre back.

I've got a mate who is a Wycombe fan and he says Humphrey's best position was as a no 10 last season. Maybe McKenna see's him playing there, hence him staying put instead of Chaplin? Just a guess of course.

He looks more suited to that role to me that left side or midfield 2.

Maybe that is some of the rationale in letting Chaplin go. Chaplin was magnificent, but could only be a 10. There was talk of him being able to cover 9 when he first came here, but I can't remember him ever doing so, and was never considered, even when we only had Al-Hamadi available and half fit.

If Humphreys can move about the formation a bit, he might have a future here. Even if not, he has a value which will disappear to Huddersfield for nowt unless something happens. We have to move to a point where we're able to produce a player like Humphries and get something out of them, either on the pitch, or a fee.

Humphreys aside, maybe one of the consequences of Chaplin and Woolfenden leaving, is there is a now a viable route for young players to mix it with the first team. Might not be game time, but at least in training.

With Woolfy gone... don't we need an academy product so we can name 9 subs?

Baggott is another... but Humphreys is a handy 9th sub as he is versatile.
