Sindre Walle Egeli - most expensive Championship player ever 16:04 - Sep 11 with 883 viewsVic

I can't quite get my head around the fact that we, Ipswich Town, have broken any kind of spending record.

It's never, ever been us to break records financially. This, and the fact that we were crawling around for crumbs on the floor 5 years ago - I find it astonishing how things have be transformed so quickly!

Really looking forward to seeing how McKenna works with this new team and takes them, and us as fans, even further than he has until now.

After years with Marcus Evans in control I still find it hard to process that we know spend millions on players - yet alone tens of millions.

I know it’s been a few seasons since he thankfully went but it still surprises me that we actually spend money.

It is madness, really. Especially against the backdrop of a feeling it was a bad transfer window for us.

As KM said tho. We won't know how good or bad the window was until the end of season.

Promotion and it's been a good one
Non promotion and it's a bad one
