You want the prem because it's the top league

But as a football fan.. is it wrong that watching prem football does nothing for me and that I love the ugliness of championship and lower league football

Watching city v utd today. I just felt I'm just watching tippy tappy passing for 90 minutes. Barely any battles on the pitch. No real defensive mistakes that made it fun to watch. Just a bit of a bore fest despite 3 goals and perhaps more.

I'm sure we all loved the Premier League under George Burley when we had a cracking season and played some beautiful football. Short memories some people.

Don't think you understand the point. When you watch town it's different. Your watching with different emotions

Also prem football was different in the late 90s early 00s. To what it is today

I tend to watch whatever league Town are in as that's the league I'm invested in, only caught maybe two Championship games last season and only half a Prem game this season. The quality and standard in the Prem is light years better than the Championship though and as a neutral it's a far better watch, I'm just not that invested in it when we're not playing in it.

I agree. I am still pi55ed about going down last year. If we had managed to stay up, I would be hoping we could become an established PL side like Bournemouth and Brighton have yet I still prefer Championship football as it’s far more entertaining and unpredictable.

If it wasn’t for the top 6 in the PL, it could be a more competitive and entertaining league but there is so much money at the top, we are at a massive disadvantage when we do go up again.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm perhaps seeing some value in a European Super League.

Man C, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manu, Chelsea and Spurs can all compete in a league with Barca, Madrid, PSG, Milan and the like. They can see their stadiums filled with neutral supporters wearing half 'n half scarves and they can be stuck there forever. They can buy the best players and managers in the world, playing tippy-tappy football backed by owners with limitless financial resources. All competing with no restrictions whatsoever. Permanently open transfer windows. No relegation. No way out of it. Make it like an international Saudi League where it's only about money and nothing to do with geographical identity. Let mega-rich, foreigner-owned football clubs eat themselves.
