My son is mad on this atm so I have a genuine question if you know your stuff. He’s been doing a lot of car boot buying with his mum and bought a bulk load for £35. (Some box with loads in, a sleeved book and a number of individuals in their own sealed sleeves). Some of them are ‘special’ or ‘shiney’ and look mint and are in sealed little plastic sleeves. He’s only 11 but done some of his own research online and shown me.
It’s look on face value that a couple that he has got hold of (which look immaculate/no bends/totally clean etc in these little baggies) could be worth up to £200. Is it worth getting them graded? Been quoted £25-30 a card online and local shop says the books are closed on the people that they use to grade so wondering if it’s worth the hassle.
Do you have any thoughts or tips?

I know that PSA is the gold standard for grading, but that could be quite expensive as they are American based.
