We agree on most things, but I think your perspective on this is quite short-term (which is quite natural, as you’re a relatively recently joined member).
For me, the past few months have been the best this site’s ever been. Yes we’ve had the trolls and negative nellies, but they’re easily spotted and knocked over.
Very little personal abuse generally (that I’ve seen anyway). It’s been an improving trend generally over years, credit to Phil and Gav, their hard work paying off (cue instant blazing rows, bans & thread deletions!)  |  |

But we are away tomorrow.
Which means we do nothing for the first 60 minutes and let the finishers do the rest. Not pretty, but effective away from home last season. Personally i think we should go for it more against this weak division, but manager is getting them prepped for prem. |  | | |

Well, under this username, I'm relatively new as a member, but I've posted on and read this forum for over 20 years.
I've found a very vocal minority on here these last few months, to be ascerbic and argumentative, even resorting to personal abuse at times. I don't think I imagined that, as I know Phil has had to act definitively by banning a handful of users for those issues.
I agree, though, that the majority here are great posters, and that Phil and the team deserve much credit for what this place is.
I wasn't trying to stir anything up by my OP, quite the opposite, I wanted to say how nice the atmosphere has been recently. | |

Phil is a good gardener you have to prune to encourage new growth.
