For the QPR game on Sat November 1st 3pm, wouldn't that make more sense? 3.5 hour journey on a Tuesday evening would be far better on a Saturday instead surely..
Could the club have got this swapped when the fixtures came out?

Think it's deliberate to maximise attendances. With our support being so good atm it doesn't really matter so much but they figure that you may as well have a bumper Saturday crowd with local teams with a smaller one midweek rather than two middling ones.

It would then mean QPR having to alter thair fixture against Oxford tomorrow, which would have a knock-on for Oxford's fixture aganst Millwall on 1st Nov and so on - quite apart from the Bristol side of the equation. Really not feasible.

I don't think we're allowed to go around swapping fixtures like that are we?
We're massive enough to have games stopped when they're not going our way so the next logical step is for us to decide when we fancy playing each team.
