Clarke 09:34 - Oct 1 with 462 views | Garv | Not that one, the forgotten one...Harry. I know RB is not a massive concern at the moment but can anyone else see Clarke starting to get a bit more game time (probably as a sub) for a bit of attacking intent? I don't remember Furlong really getting on the outside of either of the right wingers that played last night. There was the one near the end when he won the foul, slightly luckily, but I don't recall many others? Clarke has generally been quite good at that during his time with us, and we know he'll always give it 100%.

Clarke on 16:35 - Oct 1 with 230 views | cbower | I'll say it. I like Harry Clarke as a player. He has been criticised at times here for leaving too much space out wide, making us vulnerable to the long ball out there. Not really as simple as that though. With Leif bombing on, Clarke had to shuffle across in the RB/RCB hybrid role. He wasn't accustomed to it or quite disciplined enough, especially as he was also trying to offer something going forwards too, leaving us even more exposed. It's why Axel got that gig eventually. He was faster, more disciplined and defensively minded. Combine this with the loss of Burns for all but the closing games of the Championship season and Harry Clarke's fitness issues and suddenly he was the forgotten man. When he got his chance in the Premier League at Brentford, an unfortunate own goal, a harsh penalty against and a sending off meant his chance passed him by. On loan at the Blades he was doing well until more injury woes. I hope he catches a break here. I still think he's more than capable.

I like Harry Clarke too. He’s not the most talented footballer I’ve ever seen but he’s whole hearted, committed and capable. I hope he gets a chance here and with injuries, he might. He got exposed at times, but that was partially how KM set the team to play with Davis piling up the other wing. Tuanzebe got caught out plenty of times too and although a quality defender, was never attack minded as I think Harry is or would like to be. My seat neighbour for the last few seasons (I’ve moved) loathed Clarke. He took pelters every game, including when he was injured or on loan! He took over from Ladapo on his hate list. Bit sad really.
Clarke on 17:05 - Oct 1 with 178 views | BlueBoots | I think with Furlong, Johnson and Young now in the squad, the plan was to get him out on loan in the last window - when that didn't materialise on deadline day, we ended up with Chappers going to Portsmouth to manage the squad numbers.

Clarke on 17:23 - Oct 1 with 149 views | BloomBlue | No. And after chatting with him a couple of weeks ago, I think he understands that too. Certainly his reply to the question, are you still injured, was 'No, but there are 40 players ahead of me', would indicate he too isn't expecting to get a game.
