4-1-4-1 08:41 - Oct 2 with 795 views | WeWereZombies | That's the formation that Pep put Man City out in at Monaco last night, didn't quite prove to be a winner but interesting nonetheless and got me wondering how McKenna could employ this for Town (if he is the Pep copyist some take him for, after all we do still play out from the back...) The defensive four take care of themselves and I suppose Azor is becoming our Rodri but it is the four in front that would interest me. Is this a way of getting both Jaden and Jack into a starting eleven ? Apologies to anyone who thought they had double vision on a score prediction for Sunday, I'm actually going for 8-2.

Or we operate a three man overload in the left sided attack, triangles between Leif, Jaden and Jack as Azor covers the left back role (whilst he acts as a rush goalie, carries McKenna's messages to other players and sells programmes...before painting the turnstiles and cleaning the Cobbold roof.) I dunno chris. On Tuesday we tippy tapped the ball around the box like city do. Difference is tho they suddenly create an opening whilst we were taking pot shots from 30 yards. When you relook at our time outside the Bristol box and compare it to a city situation.. the differences are the of course the quality in the gaps runners are finding to make themselves available. We were just to placid in that situation really. If we are going to come up against the low block all season km has got to get the players moving around in that final third. We aren't gonna score if we keep the ball slowly moving across the pitch. Needs zip and threat.

Jack and Leif trip over each other enough as it is when they play together. Add Jaden in, and we'll be too congested in that area. Also, we're already too easy to break on when we commit Leif into the attack, removing some of the defensive midfield to facilitate this seems extremely risky. It's a no from me!

Good point, and whilst I thought I had found a way to accommodate Jaden and Jack in a starting line up, I haven't done too well on the Jens and Marcelino question.
