Promoted team watch 17:20 - Oct 3 with 418 views | Radlett_blue | I've been watching the starts from the promoted clubs this season, especially Sunderland, with interest. I expected them to flounder, having scrambled up through the play offs, but they've made a good start, helped by some relatively easy fixtures. Leeds have also got a decent number of points from fixtures against the lesser lights, the only blot being a predictable 5-0 reverse at Arsenal. Burnley look in trouble with only 4pts - as many as we had after 6 games & the same as Luton, the best of the promoted clubs after 6 games the previous season. And the relegated teams - us, Saints & Leicester - aren't exactly ripping up the Championship in 6th, 13th & 14th. So is the old yo-yo theory exploding? Early days, I know.

Promoted team watch on 17:34 - Oct 3 with 360 views | positivity | it's very early days, one thing to look at is the teams that the 3 promoted teams have to finish above. last season the bottom 3 others had 1 pt (wolves),3(palace)&4(whu), and no team finished lower than 38 (spurs). this season, they're doing slightly better than that, so realistically you're going to need to get 40 points to stay up and no promoted side has done that for a while. we'll see. as for the teams coming down, ipswich have 8 points from their last 4, which is as good as anyone and soton seem to be turning it around, so i see them up and around the top with boro and/or cov being amongst it as leeds were last year

Yes, the big deciding factor as far as relegation from the PL is concerned is if there are 3 hopeless teams & only Wolves look hopeless right now so it could be a very interesting relegation scrap if Sunderland & Leeds can keep some form.

and wolves looked hopeless last year too, so i don't expect that to continue... i guess they're the most likely to break the cycle unless forest continue to mess about

Don't forget the start that Palace had last season - they took ages to get going. The other point is that the Sunderland team looks nothing like the one that scraped through the playoffs - save for the colour of their shirts
Promoted team watch on 18:02 - Oct 3 with 279 views | TheBoyBlue | We were relatively competitive in the first half of last season and should really have got a handful more points that were lost to bad luck and bad decisions from refs and ourselves. Hopefully the promoted teams will have learnt from our second half of the season and avoid the same pitfalls.

Pereira turned them around last season, when they had a stronger squad. Wolves is his 14th managerial job in the last 20 years so he probably wasn't expecting to be there long term. They seem to have become a selling club & unsurprisingly Pereira is replacing the stars with Portuguese/Brazilian players who may not be up to the job. They played better at Spurs last week, but need a win from their next 3 games against Brighton, Sunderland & Burnley.

Promoted team watch on 18:19 - Oct 3 with 251 views | WickhamsLeftBoot | The real test will be when their players head off to AFCON. Potentially losing a GK (Cameroon) two defenders (Mozambique & DR Congo) two midfielders (Senegal & DR Congo) and four strikers (Morocco, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso & Nigeria) You’d probably expect some of those countries to get to the quarters/semi finals.
Promoted team watch on 18:46 - Oct 3 with 183 views | WestSussexBlue | You are correct, they have all had reasonably easy fixtures so far and have admirably taken points. The real test begins when they’re playing the top half sides. It’s a slightly inflated position for all Three currently. I maintain that come the Festive period, they will all be looking over their shoulders with the bottom Three very close behind them.
