he looked a good player. last night he brought them drive, impetus and intent. made us at times look pretty tentative and a bit leadershipless. overall i still thought we were well worth a draw. we have the quality but it feels as if the belief / commitment isn't quite there yet.

We didn’t miss out. He didn’t want to come here. It happens, sadly. He is a very good player and just what we needed. I suspect he might go to a Premier club in the new year.

Maybe he read TWTD and decided not to risk torrents of abuse and a position on the scapegoat league table if he had a bad game.
