Sunderland have already won 4 matches in the premiership which is the same we managed in 38 matches.i hope if we ever go up we will be more prepared next time, and win a few more.

The 3 promoted sides have won 8 games between them already, us, Soton & Leicester won 12 between us all season.

I wonder if we perhaps used the 'gap is too big' as a comfort blanket to disguise the fact we were simply not very good?

The three of us have only won 9 out of 29 in the Championship this season which further points towards being not very good. In fact, we are 2 stoppage time penalties and an abandonment from having lost 5 of our first 10.

Yes two injury time pens and a fluky match abandonment aside and we would be closer to the relegation zone ! It must be said that the start to this season has been woeful and has only really been masked by thumping a Sheffield U side that sacked their manager the next day and a Norwich side who are the worst side they have had for 20 years or so.

This it takes new players time to adapt is something I bought into a little bit but am now confident it’s just an excuse for out short comings

Because it gives them another stick to beat the club with.

Theres loads of them about this season who cant wait to give examples of how sh1t we were/are.

Its so weird but they absolutely get off on it.

Whilst that might be the case with some posters, you've not exactly given a decent reply to explain your thoughts on where we failed. Just gone for the "you're being nasty about Ipswich, stop it"
